Pablo Zabaleta is hopeful that he will extend his stay at West Ham United.

The former Manchester City right back was contemplating retirement at the end of the season.

But talks with the Hammers and coach Manuel Pellegrini many have changed his mind.

The 34-year-old has played 23 games this season.

"My contract in England ends in June and I have the possibility of renewing but football changes and I'll wait for the right moment [before making a decision]," Zabaleta told El Intransigente.
