League One outfit Coventry City have handed Laurent Robert's younger brother, Fabien, a trial.

Fabien Robert was released by Swindon Town last season despite featuring prominently and the 27-year-old younger brother of Newcastle United star Laurent has now been picked up by the Sky Blues on a trial basis.

Robert featured during Coventry's 2-0 pre-season victory over Newport County during the weekend and it will be interesting to see if the West Midlands outfit offer the Frenchman a permanent contract.

The former Lorient man first arrived in England in 2012 when he spent time with Doncaster Rovers prior to his shift to Swindon.
