Yorke: I feel sorry for Hojlund carrying Man Utd attack

Manchester United Treble winner Dwight Yorke says they should've worked harder to sign a senior striker last summer.

Yorke feels for Rasmus Hojlund, who is yet to score in the Premier League.

He told the Daily Mail: "I think they should have paid £150m for (Erling) Haaland. Harry Kane is an obvious choice. And (Victor) Osimhen is another I would have tried for.

"I feel sorry for the kid Rasmus, he's suffering all around. I didn't know anything about him until he came to United for such a huge fee. He's 20 years of age, never had top-level experience, and you can see he's in that development stage.

"You can't bring a rookie in to do a man's job. It just doesn't work. He's making the game look a little bit difficult. But who is he learning from?

"We had four outstanding players. Seasoned pros who knew the razzmatazz of the Premier League and how to manage their game. I don't think United have got anybody.

"We just look a little bit ragged in every department. Players' careers have come to a standstill at United. Players who shouldn't be at the club are still there.

"The manager is the one who sets the tone at the football club. It's your duty to improve these players. Ten Hag will die by his philosophy but if I were in that position, I would do things differently."
