Algeria has defeated Egypt 1-0 in their play-off for the final qualifying position from the African groups for next year's World Cup. Forced into the one-off match after finishing tied at the top of Group C, the match was played in neutral Sudan.
Anthar Yahia scored the all important winner for Algeria in the 39th minute, meaning his side have now qualified for their 3rd World Cup finals.
