Wolves are ready to fight an FA charge against forward Daniel Podence.
The winger was given until April 14th to respond to a charge of allegedly spitting at an opponent.
Podence did not get any penalty during his team's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest for the alleged incident.
However, the FA have imposed a penalty on the attacker, who will likely miss six games unless Wolves can have the decision overturned.
Podence seemed to have made a spitting motion towards Brennan Johnson of Forest.
Writing on social media last week, Podence said: “As I have been accused of something I haven't done... will make it clear: I did not spit on Nottingham's player. I'm telling the truth and I would never do such a thing, even more to a colleague."
