Wolves chiefs are drawing up a shortlist of alternatives as manager Julen Lopetegui considers his future.
The 56 year-old has been left frustrated by a lack of transfer spending this summer.
And Lopetegui has also seen Raul Jimenez, Ruben Neves, Nathan Collins, Ryan Giles, and Conor Coady all depart.
He is now considering his future at Molineux after feeling let down by their market approach.
The Mirror says the Wolves hierarchy is well aware of the 56-year-old's concerns and are making contingency plans to ensure they're not caught out at the start of the season.
