Wolves boss Nuno says they must learn from defeat at home to Crystal Palace.
A late Jordan Ayew strike had the visitors in front and Luka Milivojevic's penalty at the death ensured Wolves began 2019 with a reverse.
Nuno said, “They reduced the spaces and we tried to find solutions ourselves, something that we've worked on before, but today there was not the energy to do those things. We arrived, but always late, and we have to get better.
“We missed too many opportunities to make the first pass. We'll keep on going and keep analysing, the boys must rest and recover well because the next challenge is around the corner. When we tried to go for the game things didn't work out, so we have to improve and get better.
“There are no excuses. We didn't perform well and Crystal Palace had one day less than us to recover. We know this is a tight schedule and today we fought. A couple of days ago we were celebrating and now we have to bounce back.
“We are proud of what we've doing, but we want to keep growing, with persistence through the season."
