Wilson chasing new deal at Newcastle

Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson wants to stay at the club beyond his current contract.

The centre forward, who had an up and down season that ended with him scoring 18 Premier League goals, is in no mood to move on.

Wilson knows that Newcastle are a club on the rise, having qualified for the Champions League.

During parts of last season, Wilson lost his starting spot to Alexander Isak at St. James' Park.

"I am only contracted until next year [30 June 2024]. Newcastle is a fantastic place at the moment and I am enjoying my football," Wilson said on international duty with the England national side.

“My agent and the club will be speaking on my future at some point and hopefully it [my future] will be with Newcastle."
