Wilder thanks Sheffield Utd fans for their support

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has thanked fans for their support.

Wilder admits fans have every right to be disappointed with results but says he knows what the response would be from the hardcore supporters should they be at Bramall Lane this weekend.

He said: "I know what Sheffield united fans are all about, as you can understand.

"I think there will always be unrealistic supporters at every football club, who think they should be in a different position to what you are in, should be going and buying players that you can't buy and doing things what you can't do, that are impossible to do.

"There will always be those supporters who you possibly shake your head at at times that you don't know where they are coming from.

"But if there's any Sheffield United manager in touch with the supporters and know what they are about, what they want and what their club feels and means to them it's myself.

"I know what their thought process is and how disappointed they will be at the moment.

"There's no issue for them not to be disappointed because we all are.

"We are all feeling it at the moment, but I believe if they were allowed in to the game on Sunday, I know 100% what the atmosphere would be like at Bramall Lane against West Ham, even off the back of the start we have had.

"They have given myself and the players incredible support.

"The one thing we have done over the last couple of years is reconnect with the supporters and pulled them together and they understand that.

"They understand what has gone off over last two or three years and what they have given to us in terms of encouragement and support and visa verse in terms of what the players have done for the football club in re-establishing the club."
