Wigan's Maloney likely to be given Scotland chance - Levein

Scotland boss Craig Levein has indicated that Wigan Athletic winger Shaun Maloney may be given another opportunity in the national team.

The 29-year old has missed a lot of action this season because of injury but has returned to be a key part of the Latics' escape from relegation and Levein says he is likely to be in the squad for the trip to the USA later this month.

"He's on the radar and he's got a chance," said Levein of the former Celtic star.

"He played for us at Aberdeen against the Faroe Islands (in November 2010) but then he's had injuries.

"He hadn't been playing regular football until the latter half of this season but he has been recently."
