Wigan Athletic are moving for Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe.

The Daily Record says Defoe has been linked with a loan move to Wigan Athletic.

The former England striker had been interesting Rangers boss Steven Gerrard last summer.

Defoe is on the books of Bournemouth but has made just four EPL appearances for the Cherries this season.

Now the 36-year-old is said to have been targeted by Wigan.
