Connor Wickham has hailed the passion of Sunderland fans.

The striker moved to Sunderland in the summer from Ipswich Town.

"When I joined Sunderland last summer I noticed straight away that everybody had red and white stripes on," he told safc.com.

"Wherever you go you see somebody wearing a Sunderland top.

"Football isn't just a game on a weekend here, it's a full time passion and I love that."
