Fiorentina have blocked Micah Richards from moving to Inter Milan.

Inter boss Roberto Mancini had hoped to takeover Richards' loan from Manchester City and Fiorentina were open to the deal.

But the plug was pulled at midday with the Viola unable to secure a replacement for the England defender.

Richards will now see out the season in Florence.
