West Ham United are not sure about what will happen with Marko Arnautovic.
Hammers fans are concerned the Austrian will once again be tempted to make a big money move to China. He was wanted by a Super League club in January, but the Hammers blocked his exit.
The club's vice-chairman Karren Brady could not confirm the club's no.1 striker would stay.
However, she seemed to indicate the decision would rest with manager Manuel Pellegrini, not necessarily on Arnautovic's wishes.
"It's the same with every player – their future at the club is determined by the manager. Not by the chairman, not by the board and certainly not by me," she told Sky Sports.
"If he [Manuel Pellegrini] decides he wants him at the club and he wants to offer him a new contract, like he did a few months ago, then that's what happens.
"The board support whatever decision he makes and that's the way it should be."
