West Ham United are counting the cost of Jesse Lingard's unsuccessful trial period.
The former Manchester United and Nottingham Forest forward was hoping to sign for the Hammers as a free agent.
While he had performed for West Ham under David Moyes on loan in the past, his six week trial has now ended.
Per The Mirror, West Ham have to play travel and accommodation costs for Lingard related to the trial.
Lingard also had travel expenses, as he has been banned for driving for six months.
He was pulled over for a speeding violation and gave the police a fake name to avoid a penalty.
