Slaven Bilic has decided that West Ham United will not sign Brentford's Scott Hogan on Tuesday.
Sky Sports is reporting that the Hammers do not need the 24-year-old striker who would cost the East London club around £13.5million.
It was reported on Monday evening that West Ham were still in for the Bees ace but more recent reports indicated that Bilic believes the transfer is unnecessary as he has Ghana international Andre Ayew returning from Africa Cup of Nations duty soon and Diafra Sakho due back from injury.
West Ham's decision has seen Aston Villa emerge as the new frontrunners to sign Hogan, with Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion still in the race.
