West Ham join interest in Real Valladolid defender Salisu

West Ham United have joined the interest in Real Valladolid defender Mohammed Salisu.

The Daily Mail says the 21-year-old centre-back has drawn enquiries from Southampton, Everton and to a lesser degree Manchester United.

French side Rennes have been pushing to sign him but the Ghana-born Salisu is eager to move to the Premier League.

He has a £10.8million release clause which makes him attractive to West Ham who are keen to bolster their defence but are unsure of their budget at this stage.

Southampton are understood to have made an offer below the release clause while Everton have Salisu in mind as an option alongside Lille's Gabriel Magalhaes and Jean Clair Todibo of Barcelona.
