West Ham are eyeing Mainz attacker Erkan Eyibil.

The Daily Express says the Hammers are scouting German wonder kid Eyibil who is yet to make his first team debut for Bundesliga outfit Mainz.

He is only 17 but has already been likened to Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

His rapid rise through the German national youth ranks has not gone unnoticed by many clubs in England.

He is rated as one of the hottest youth stars in German football after scoring 12 goals in 18 appearances in the U19 Southern League this season.
