Manager Manuel Pellegrini put out a strong team, with Marko Arnautovic, Jack Wilshere and Michail Antonio all getting a game.
New signings Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko did not take part.
The Hammers are hoping for a much more successful Premier League campaign compared to last season.
