West Ham chief Noble backing youngsters in FAYC final against Arsenal

West Ham United legend Mark Noble has words for the club's current crop of youth stars.

The Hammers are in the FA Youth Cup final, where they will take on Arsenal.

As the youngsters prepare for the showpiece event on Tuesday, football director Noble spoke about the quality of the team.

“I'm hoping two or three of them would be on that board," stated Noble of youngsters joining up with the first team, per Evening Standard.

“They're a special group and I say to them all the time: 'It's over to you'. If you don't make it, at least put your head on the pillow knowing you did everything."

“They've got a real mixture of really strong characters," Noble added.

“Someone said to me the other day that they're really comfortable being uncomfortable.

“If they have to sit back behind the ball and soak up, then they'll do it. They don't care. But when they open up and attack, they're really dangerous."
