West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has wished Morgan Amalfitano all the best for the future.

The 30-year-old French midfielder departed the Hammers by mutual consent on Tuesday and leaves Upton Park with the best wishes of Gold who took to Twitter to acknowledge the player.

Amalfitano joined West Ham last summer and made 32 appearances, scoring three goals for the East London club.
