West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is chasing West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson.
The Daily Mail says Baggies centre back Olsson meanwhile has rejected a new deal at the Hawthorns and will reluctantly be sold as he has just one year remaining on his contract.
The Swede signed from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen in August 2008 for around £800,000 and has established himself at the heart of the defence.
West Ham will have to battle it out with Everton and Aston Villa for his signature.
