West Bromwich Albion have rejected a loan bid from Doncaster Rovers for striker Marc-Antoine Fortune.
The Frenchman has made just one sub appearances so far this term but Baggies boss Roy Hodgson is keen to keep him at The Hawthorns with Shane Long currently sidelined with a knee injury.
Fortune admits it has been tough for him this term but is prepared to be patient and wait for his next first team opportunity.
"I am a West Bromwich Albion player," he told Express & Star.
"This season has been a little hard for me because there are a lot of people in front of me.
"But I am doing my job, working hard in training, and when they call me into the reserves I try to do my best.
"I am just waiting for my chance."
