West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis explained leaving Saido Berahino out for their draw at Newcastle United.

Pulis felt Berahino needed a break.

He told the WBA website: "Saido looked tired at Man United. He had a lot of work off the field with the charity.

"He's 21 and led the line remarkably. He's been fantastic and needed a rest.

"Victor was fantastic and Saido did very well when he came on. Some of his work was top, top class."
