West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is keen for Sam Mantom to move out on-loan.

The midfielder spent time at Tranmere and Oldham last season.

"We have another player in Mantom, where it is a mystery to me why I don't get hundreds of requests every day asking for him," Hodgson told the WBA website.

"One day somebody will explain to me why.

"If I needed a player in midfield and I was outside the Premier League he would be high up on my list of players to get."
