West Brom boss Clarke not planning for busy January

West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke isn't planning for a busy January market.

Despite the fact that Peter Odemwingie and Youssouf Mulumbu might be called up for the African Cup of Nations, Clarke is relatively pleased with the squad he has.

He is no rush to bring in new players at this stage.

Fans expecting a hectic 31-day period in the New Year, might be left disappointed.

"I don't think it's a good time for business," said Clarke.

"It's a month you can use, if necessary, but I'm hopeful that we go into January and not use the transfer window at all.

"I have got a really good squad of players here and if I'm left with that squad the other side of January then I will be happy.

"That's been my mantra all season. Long way to go til end of the January window and we will see what shape the squad is in but if we don't have to do anything great."
