Reims striker Remi Oudin says he's staying calm over talk of major interest from England.

Likened to Dutch great Robin van Persie, Oudin has attracted a £7m offer from Watford in recent days and is also a target for Newcastle United.

He told Le Parisien: "I do not know. For the moment, I am well in my formative club. In football, everything can go fast.

"My goal is to take a step, here or elsewhere. Rumours, at first it's nice, but I try not to pay attention. They manage it for me. I do not have a career plan.

"Later, it will be a goal to go abroad to discover another culture and another football."
