Watford are set to investigate the social media activity of forward Adalberto Penaranda.

The Daily Mail reports Penaranda was allegedly involved with shock footage recorded at a sex party which has been leaked online.

The Hertfordshire club have confirmed they will look into the matter ahead of Penaranda's planned return for pre-season training.

The video was reportedly uploaded to the 'close friends' section of his Instagram story, a feature which allows the user to control who can view their posts. But the 27-second clip appears to have since been leaked by a friend of the player.

A statement from the club read: "Watford FC confirm they are currently investigating the matter but will make no comment at this time."
