Watford chief Giaretta warns AC Milan over price for Joao Pedro

Watford chief Cristiano Giaretta has warned AC Milan over their price for Joao Pedro.

Watford successfully fought off Newcastle United attempts last year for the Brazilian, who eventually penned a new deal.

The striker is now being linked with Milan, but Giaretta told TMW: "I can say that he has an 'England' price, we haven't received any requests or offers from Italy.

"He has many admirers in the Premier League but the truth, and we are happy about it, is that he is 110% focused on our run-up to the playoffs."

On targeting the South American market, he added: "Historically we have always done so, with Brazil in particular, a market that is now becoming more and more expensive. There are Colombia and Ecuador as interesting markets but there we understood that, due to proximity, culture and tradition, the United States has great appeal and MLS is a real competitor."
