Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is excited ahead of their Carabao Cup semifinal against Brentford this week.

Mourinho rates the competition as important as any Spurs are competing in - reminding the media that his first trophy won in England with Chelsea was the Carling Cup 16 years ago.

Indeed, the manager is adamant Spurs will treasure their chance of having a shot at the League Cup this season with the club now waiting for their first piece of silverware for over a decade.

And as a he points out, the club and his players know, if they win the next two games in this competition they win the Cup.
