WATCH: Chelsea icon Drogba paying back the love to his Ivory Coast

Didier Drogba remains one of the biggest names in world football.

The 38-year-old former Chelsea star has lived a blessed life as a world-class footballer at the elite level. He is well aware of his distinguished position.

Drogba, who late last year finished up with MLS club Montreal Impact, is working hard to give back as much as he can to the people of his native Ivory Coast now that he has a little more time on his hands.

“When I grew up, thanks to the fact that I was a public figure, and a footballer, I tried to help those who needed it," he says.

“I tried to give back a little bit to my country, the Ivory Coast, for all the love it's given me."

Check out the intriguing video by Vice Sports, touching on Drogba's ongoing work 'as a philanthropist and activist, committing endless resources and attention to his home country of the Ivory Coast to instill peace and education'.
