Wales legend Iwan Roberts is staggered by the timing of Swansea City's sacking of Michael Laudrup.
Laudrup was shown the door at the Liberty yesterday.
I think it's poor timing," Roberts told BBC Sport.
"You've just had January where teams strengthen. He [interim Garry Monk] won't be able to bring any new faces in. He's got to work with what he's got.
"The timing is bizarre, to do it leading up to the derby on Saturday.
"There are a few things that do surprise you in this game and hand on heart this hasn't surprised me at all. I think it's been coming."
