Villarreal forward Roberto Soldado is hoping for a reunion with his former club Tottenham in the Champions League next season.
The Spanish side could qualify for the continental tournament next season if they win the Europa League this term and Soldado is eager to play against the North Londoners where he spent two years before leaving for El Madrigal last summer.
"I hope so," he told the Daily Mail when asked about the prospect of facing Tottenham.
"Going back to the old stadium where I received so much support. I would love nothing more than to be playing for Villarreal against Tottenham in the Champions League."
Soldado and Villarreal take on Liverpool in the Europa League semi-final first leg at home on Thursday night.
