Carlos Villanueva is sorry it didn't work out at Blackburn Rovers.

The Chilean midfielder moved to Al Shabab in Dubai after ­failing to impress Rovers boss Sam Allardyce.

Villanueva said: "It was not easy to make the decision. To play in England was a dream and my wish was to stay there."
