Aston Villa are set to offer new terms to captain Ron Vlaar.
Villa boss Paul Lambert has shelved a number of contract issues until the summer, including those for the likes of Vlaar.
Lambert said: "He'll definitely go to the World Cup. He has played the last few games for Holland.
"He'll go and he's playing well for us. When he's not played it has been a blow because he gives us that balance.
"I tend to speak to them before they go. At the moment, we haven't spoken about anything.
"I think he's just happy playing. His form this year has been really good. And, going into the last year, we will have to look at it. But I'm pretty sure it will take care of itself."
