Aston Villa defender Nathan Baker feels marking Christian Benteke in training is improving him.

Benteke has become the focal point of Paul Lambert's claret and blue team with his goalscoring and all round displays.

"Christian's a really big lad and you can see the impact he's had for us in a short space of time," said Baker.

"He seems to have everything to his game at the moment. I'm obviously quite tall being a defender and we have some great battles in training.

"We get to see him in training and he's like that a lot of the time. He is unplayable sometimes and it's clear to see he is impressing everyone at the moment.

"It's helpful for us to as defenders because it prepares us for facing that physical type of striker."
