Stiliyan Petrov says Kevin MacDonald deserves a winning send off by Aston Villa's players this weekend against Bolton Wanderers.
Villa captain Petrov insisted Villa's players owed it to MacDonald to produce a big performance this weekend.
"It is complicated," Petrov said of Villa's current managerial situation. "Complicated for the new manager, complicated for Kev as well. We try to do our best for Kev because he has been at this club for a long time and we don't want to see him putting his head down. He has done a tremendous job."
