Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish was delighted with his kids for their win over Fulham.

Andreas Weimann came off the bench for the winner.

Gary Gardner and Barry Bannan were prominent in the build-up to the goal and the gaffer says they are "getting better and better".

"They are getting better and better and they combined for the goal," McLeish said.

"Barry kept it alive, squared it for big Gards and he manoeuvred it onto his left foot and showed he has got as powerful a left foot as he has a right.

"But it was a tremendous contribution from the young kids."
