Villa boss Lambert struggling to find buyers for fringe players

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is struggling to find buyers for his fringe players.

Lambert has admitted finances are restricted and attempts to raise funds are being hampered by a lack of interest in exiled big earners such as Stephen Warnock and Alan Hutton.

Warnock and Hutton both earn more than £40,000 a week and are training with the club's youngsters, while Darren Bent and Stephen Ireland could also be sacrificed, says the Telegraph.
