Patrick Vieira has stated that Manchester City have been more successful than any other Premier League club in recent times.

City may have put up a feeble defence of their Premier League crown last season but the fact that finishing second in the league is considered a major disappointment, is a testament to how far the club have progressed over the years.

City's Elite Development Squad head coach Vieira is very proud of the Citizens meteoric rise and has stated that his side have been the most successful top flight team in the last four years.

Speaking to Manchester Evening News, Vieira said: "I think the journey of the club so far has been fantastic and you just have to look at the players we have in our squad.

"If you analyse the last four years, it's been more successful than anything else."
