Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic admits fans have deserved better this season.
United face Sunderland tonight in the second-leg of their Capital One Cup semifinal.
"We cannot complain about anything about the supporters - they have been really good with us this season. I have said this before, but especially away from home, we always have a great support and at home as well. They have been magnificent," he told manutd.com.
"We can hear their frustration at times at home but sometimes we have to accept that teams will come to Old Trafford and put everyone behind the ball, make it difficult for us and look to play on the counter-attack. We know the fans always want to see goals and that's what we want as well. Hopefully we can start games better and score a goal in the first few minutes [on Wednesday]."
