Veteran Athletic Bilbao striker Raul Garcia admits he's yet to hear from management about next season.

The 36 year-old's curret deal expires at the end of next month.

He told Mundo Deportivo: "The contract is what it is. There is not much more to talk about.

"I am always very clear. My main objective is for the team to be in good shape and now we find ourselves at a moment in which we are playing a lot. The other thing I have set aside because the first step for that is to know if I am useful or not for the team for next year.

"From there the club will have to say what it thinks. My goal is to be well. This year, maybe not starting, but I'm playing all the games. I feel important in many facets. We will see what happens.

"I don't have any need to be in a place where I think I'm not contributing or where I don't feel useful, but it's not something now and in the future I also want to feel that way."
