Velez Sarsfield striker Juan Manuel Martínez is aware of interest from Sevilla.

The 25 year-old has confirmed Sevilla are following him, but insists his priority is to agree a new contract with Velez.

"I know the interest of Sevilla, my father and I met with an agent of the club and I actually like the idea of playing in Europe - and if it's Spain, that is better," said Martinez.

"But I will first renew my contract. I gave my word that I would do so. I know it would be easier if I was free, but I made a promise."
