Dutch great Wim van Hanegem has taken aim at PSV Eindhoven over their treatment of Steven Bergwijn.
The new Tottenham signing scored on debut in victory over Manchester City on Sunday.
Van Hanegem told AD: “I heard that at PSV they thought he was five kilos overweight after the winter break. I thought it was not nice to say that here and there from the club, at a time when especially the previous trainer Mark van Bommel was beginning a lot of it because he would put people against each other.
"José Mourinho thought Bergwijn was fine on weight, by the way.
"That beautiful goal as a start at a new club, that is a dream start and I sincerely wish for that for the boy. That he is away from PSV will certainly feel like a relief to him."
