Van Gaal regrets selling 2 homespun Man Utd players

Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal feels he blundered selling two homespun players during his time in charge.

Van Gaal regretted cutting loose Danny Welbeck and Michael Keane, it's claimed.

The Dutchman had a tough time at Old Trafford, despite winning the FA Cup in 2016.

He was sent packing after the Wembley showpiece and Jose Mourinho was swiftly ushered in.

The Athletic reports despite bringing Marcus Rashford into the first-team fold, he offloaded Welbeck and Keane who had both graduated from the youth ranks.

And it was a decision he'd live to regret - especially after their respective replacements flopped in the Premier League.

Marcos Rojo and Radamel Falcao were both snapped up to much fanfare, but didn't impress.
