Van de Beek 'to leave Man Utd in January': He was priced out of Real Sociedad move

Donny van de Beek will leave Manchester United in January.

That's according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

He reported on The United Stand: “Yes, I'm sure he will leave in January.

“He has to, and he wants it too, because he wants to play. That's a shame, because Donny wanted to play for Man United. But he never plays, and he knows he needs to play regularly after his injury. So he can't sit on the bench, especially not for long periods of time. That's not good for him.

“From what I heard, it wasn't easy last summer. Donny wanted to go to Real Sociedad, and Manchester United also wanted to participate in a transfer. But as we know, United made a number of financial demands that Real Sociedad could not meet.

“Then Van de Beek got opportunities in Turkey, at clubs of the calibre of Galatasaray. United hoped he wanted that, but Donny decided against it.

“He is a good player, but he has to keep playing. Playing ten minutes in two months is not enough. So he leaves."
