Former Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel believes Memphis Depay can be a success with Manchester United.

Van Bommel will play in Sunday's Legends game between Bayern and United.

He told manutd.com: "Memphis has proven himself as a valuable player for PSV in the past season. His 22 goals in the national league significantly contributed in winning the championship.

"Although he has great potential, we still have to be patient. The level of the Premier League is different but, under the supervision of Louis van Gaal, he should be able to adjust."
