Valencia coach Gattuso happy to fire five goals past Getafe: But we need to stick together

Valencia coach Rino Gattuso was delighted with his players after their 5-1 win against Getafe.

Toni Lato, Samuel Lino, Samu Castillejo, Nico Gonzalez and Hugo Duro struck on the day. Ilax Moriba saw red for VCF, along with Getafe's Mauro Arambarri.

Gattuso said, "Yesterday they told me that we had scored only on penalties, but I saw my team and the fact of playing so much in their half of the pitch was something positive.

"I think that we should help the team, I see a lot of negativity. We need to improve, we are a historic club, but this it's another era. We have to help the team and the club, together we can do something important.

"The goal of this team is to think game after game, I don't know what we can achieve. If we play and improve every week I don't know where we can get, it's a young team that has quality and if we work in the same way we can go far.

"For me it was unthinkable to play like this with only two months of work, we have to think that we are not beautiful, that we are ugly, but we have quality. Here the fans are incredible, they push a lot when they see a team moving forward, people like it. Mestalla we have to do it with the same intensity."
