Uruguay assistant coach Mario Rebollo says management just want Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani to play where he is "comfortable".
Off contract in June, Cavani is being linked with a return home to Nacional, while Boca Juniors are also keen.
Rebollo said on local radio: "It would be good for us if (Edinson) Cavani played where he feels most comfortable.
"It doesn't make any difference to me whether he's with Boca or anywhere else, the important thing is that he's okay.
"We want him to be fit and competitive for the World Cup."
