Matthew Upson's strained calf has come at a bad time for West Ham.
Upson lasted less than 30 minutes in the Hammers 0-0 draw with West Brom on Monday and although he is unlikely to miss much action, it is not an ideal time of the season for him to go down.
Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola has seen many of his stars hit by injury in his debut season and needs important players such as Upson fit and firing if they are to push for a spot in Europe next season.
